It's back and better than ever: the world's largest lobster roll. Even if you have never stepped into the restaurant, you may have seen the Taste of Maine Restaurant on Route 1 in Woolwich, Maine. You really can't miss it. It's the one with the huge lobster on the roof, and I mean the entire roof. Yep, you know the one.

The Taste of Maine is not only famous for the eye-catching building, but also for the world's largest lobster roll. This year, the first one of the season was ordered by a longtime patron of the Taste, Rodney Toothaker, according to their Facebook page.

The world's largest lobster roll is two feet long, with a pound-and-a-half of lobster. Yum! But before you get into your car and head to the Taste of Maine to get one of these bad boys, here are five things you need to know:

1. The Parking Lot is Really Crowded on the Weekend

Because the Taste of Maine is located on Route 1 (Main Street) in Woolwich, you can't miss it. It is seen by every tourist in the state from both directions. The restaurant has plenty of parking, but if you go on a sunny Saturday in July around lunchtime, you might have to search for a parking space. I've never been when that has deterred me from going though. I've always found one, even if I had to stalk people walking out of the place.

2. Don't Eat Before You Go

I know this might sound silly, but when I make the trip, I don't eat for the entire day before I arrive. The world's largest lobster roll isn't for the faint of heart, so if you're going to give it go, don't eat beforehand for a while. I'd recommend fasting for about 16 hours or so.

3. Allow Time for a Nap

After you eat, allow time for a nap, because you won't want to do much. You can walk around outside, as it's in a beautiful spot, but I prefer a nap in the backseat of my car.

4. People May Stare at You

If you order the world's largest lobster roll, you may have other people in the restaurant stare at you. Of course they want to see if you are able to eat the whole thing by yourself, or whether you are sharing it with others. You do you, and pay them no mind. Every bite will distract you from their judgy, jealous eyes.

5. The Cost Isn't Exactly Cheap, but It's Worth it

Look, you're in Maine, and you're getting the world's biggest lobster roll. Two feet of delicious roll, stuffed with a pound-and-a-half of decadent lobster straight out of the Atlantic into your belly, french fries, watermelon, and pickles. At the time of this writing, it costs $189.99.
