Kennebunkport, Maine, Favorite Named Among Best Out-of-Town Restaurants in Nation

All across the country, there are cities that people flock to because of the food. One of those foodie cities happens to be right here in Maine, as Portland has seen an influx of tourism over the past several years thanks to the notoriety of its restaurants.

But with every great foodie city comes the out-of-town places that you just can't miss. Guy Fieri has made an entire career out of showcasing these types of places on his massively popular show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. He's even showcased a few places in Maine.

But according to LoveFood, Guy Fieri missed a real gem in Kennebunkport. LoveFood believes that Alisson's Restaurant is the best out-of-town place to visit if you love food and want to try something that feels authentically Maine, but also want to avoid the other foodies in Portland.

If you've never visited Kennebunkport before, Alisson's is one of the places that feels like a must-visit. In the summer months, the restaurant is bustling as they roll incredible seafood dishes like fresh Maine lobster, scallops, and chowders out of their kitchen to hungry patrons.

Typically, Alisson's stays open year-round. But this winter, Alisson's has closed as they embark on a major renovation on their kitchen to make the guest experience at the landmark restaurant even better for the summer of 2024.

They plan to continually update their social media page to keep customers updated on their construction progress, as well as their reopening date when the project is complete.
