The popular travel site Savored Journeys selected just 15 towns to be included on this exclusive list, with Bar Harbor being the only town from New England selected.

Here’s a look at why this iconic Maine town earned a spot on the list.

Bar Harbor is the gateway to Acadia National Park, which means the drive in is packed with coastal views, pine forests, and rocky shores. The town itself is full of New England charm, with seafood shacks, boat tours, and plenty of photo ops. It’s a classic coastal road trip destination.

Yeah, that’s a pretty good way to describe it, I’d say.
