New restaurants have arrived in Maine just in time for the fall season.

You've got a new pub, seafood spot, some cafes, a Japanese eatery, and even a bar, added to the list of fresh places joining the Pine Tree State food scene.

Let's take a look at what new options you've got for when you're feeling hungry.

New Maine Restaurants in September 2025

September was the month of expansions as two locations opened new venues.

Mornings in Paris, a European-style cafe, debuted its fourth location with a Falmouth spot located right near Jersey Mike's.

“I think having things like actual proper porcelain cups will encourage people to come down, sit here, spend a bit of time, just enjoy being with humanity,” owner Paul Humphrey told the Portland Press Herald.

Serving lunch and breakfast, you can indulge in sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches, croissants, baguette sandwiches, and a variety of crepes.

Also expanding is the Brunswick-based Watami, opening its second location in Portland.

This Japanese restaurant is taking over the former Sapparo spot, according to Portland Old Port, and offering poke bowls, ramen, and sushi on its menu.

There are also a number of other brand-new places that have popped up across the state. Which one do you want to try?
