YAY! Portland's own Polar Express Train Ride is back for the season, and you can now purchase your tickets to solidify your spot once it opens.

There are a lot of interesting historical facts behind this quaint Portland train.

According to mainenarrowguage.org, The Polar Express Train Ride is Maine's largest annual fundraiser for the non-profit Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum.

It's actually really adorable, too.

Located right downtown Portland on the water's edge, it genuinely looks it's driving straight out of a Disney movie screen and onto the train tracks. In the fall time, I've seen them light up the inside with orange lights and autumn leaves decor.

Now that it's Christmastime, the train is all decorated in Christmas lights and snowflakes.

Just be mindful of when you plan your winter trips to the train, because it only runs on specific dates starting on November 24 and ending on December 23, 2023.

The Polar Express Train is so adorable that it's become a tradition for thousands of families visiting Maine from all over. That was a warning to book your trip quickly. I got you.

Look how cute the train looked last year:

Side note, what a cute first date idea. I'm such a good wingwoman.
