Maine’s 5 Most Mouthwatering Spots for Breakfast Pizza, According to Yelp
Dave Portnoy Maine Pizza Reviews
Maine was turned upside down this past fall when Barstool Sports owner and born-and-bred New Englander, Dave Portnoy, made his way through Portland for a series of his popular "One Bite Pizza Reviews."
According to Dave, Monte's is pretty much picture-perfect pizza, and both OTTO and Pizzaiolo got some massive love after an employee at OTTO freaked out over meeting Dave so much that she actually hyped Pizzaiolo during one of Dave's reviews.
And while Dave took "one bite" of a lot of pizza hot spots in Portland, including his first-ever lobster roll review at Highroller, there's one type of pizza that Dave didn't review, and probably should've.
Breakfast Pizza
In what can be considered one of the most underrated and not thought of, yet almost-surprisingly delicious types of pizza ever, breakfast pizza just hits different.
Usually a mixture of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage or ham (or all the above, if a chef is feeling a little extra spicy,) and mozzarella cheese baked on top of pizza dough like a normal pizza would be, breakfast pizza can be found everywhere from your favorite pizza joint to your local gas station (no, seriously.)
But while most people debate where the best place to snag a slice of pepperoni is, or whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not, rarely does anyone ever think about where the best place to grab a slice (or whole pie) of breakfast pizza is.
Until now.
