York’s Wild Kingdom has a brand-new member of the family, and it will likely make you say, "Awwwww."

The zoo and amusement park in York, Maine, shared the news on Facebook, revealing that a baby zebra was recently born.

If you want to see it in person, you'd better head over quickly, as this is the last weekend before the place closes for the 2025 season.

Baby Zebra Born at York's Wild Kingdom in Maine

If you were looking for a little joy to kickstart your weekend, then you'll definitely want to take a look at the photo that York's Wild Kingdom shared on Friday, September 19.

In it, the new baby zebra is hanging out next to its mom like any super-attached newborn might be. You know, asking for a snack or a snuggle or a toy or some attention. But in a super cute way.

The foal is so adorable looking, as the mini black-and-white animal is likely enjoying the nice Maine weather before the weekend.

The zoo said that the baby and mom are "doing great," which is fantastic, and shared in a comment on the post that she is named Sheila.

Baby Animals at York's Wild Kingdom in Maine

This isn't the first time striped cuteness has been welcomed to the zoo. Back in 2022, another baby zebra made its debut, and that also had a positive outcome.

But that's not all, the zoo has also had other baby animals show their cute little faces.

Just last year, people were treated to the sight of newly hatched emus. And then a few months ago, in June, a baby fawn was born.

How amazing is that you can not only check out the rides, play some mini golf, and marvel at the amazing animals, but sometimes you can even glimpse an adorable new addition to the place?

Looks like this fall just got a little more special in York.

York's Wild Kingdom's last day of the season is Sunday, September 21.
