Of course, it's hard to predict what the final temps will be until it all comes in, but depending on where you are, it could certainly shatter previous records. For instance, the record Halloween temp for Bangor is 71 degrees, set in 1956. The forecast is calling for up to 76 degrees Thursday. That would totally break the record.

The forecast on Halloween for Portland is 71. while that's pretty dang warm for Halloween, it's not in any danger of breaking the record. But you just never know. Now matter what, Halloween highs will not break an October records. Occasionally temps go well into the 80's at the beginning of the month.

It would be really awesome if this was just the new norm. Granted, that would likely mean that climate change was taking over. But I'd really love warm Octobers. Having October as a birthday month, makes you wish it was warmer more often. But hey... I'll take anything, as long as we can keep putting off snow for a while longer!
