What makes one store better than another, anyway? We all get the same essentials, but we really have no choice but to settle since, apparently, we’d have to cross several state lines to get the best. Are we feeling FOMO? Absolutely!

An expert panel submits grocery store nominees, and then the 10Best editors narrow down the list. From there, readers get to vote for their favorite store once per category. Alright, so with that in mind, which grocery store ranked 1st in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards?

According to USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, the supermarket chain Hy-Vee was voted the ‘Best Grocery Store in America.’ And as the title of this article suggests, we don’t have any Hy-Vee locations in Maine—something that clearly needs to change.

While we don’t currently have any Hy-Vee stores in Maine, with it being such a decorated and award-winning business, we’d certainly love one here!

Furthermore, Hy-Vee was also voted ‘America’s Best Grocery Store for Produce’ and ranked No. 2 for ‘Best Grocery Store for Prepared Food’ in the nation, once again according to the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
