The Countdown is On For the 2026 Lost Valley Snow Ball

It is cool to see how, over the last few decades, we have started seeing a lot more over-the-top fundraising events here in Maine.

When many of us were kids the idea of a fundraiser typically involved a spaghetti dinner or a car wash.  These days, they are a lot more elaborate.  We are seeing way more 'gala' fundraisers in our rural state.  Couples wearing their finest clothes wander around as they sip cocktails.  The big difference is between ours and the ones you might find in New York or Los Angeles is that you don't need to take out a second mortgage in order to afford tickets to these events.

One of the more notable fundraisers in Central Maine is coming up in just a few weeks.

The 2026 LVCP Snow Ball

The Lost Valley Snow Ball, which raises money for the Lost Valley Competition Program, will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2026.

The LVCP Snowball is a fun night of food, drinks, music, dancing, and good company, all while raising money for a great cause. Adults 21 and older are invited!  The event will feature a silent auction, raffles, appetizers, cash bar, and dancing.

What is the Lost Valley Competition Program?

According to the organization's website, LVCP is a beginner-friendly program that helps young snow sports athletes learn the basics, build confidence, have fun, and develop skills they can enjoy for years to come.  It’s a welcoming way for kids to get involved, learn, and become part of the local snow sports community.
