It’s A Weekend Of Festive Tree Lighting Around Maine
Tis the season!
All it takes is one quick look outside to know that Christmas time is upon us, but there's still one more thing that needs to happen in Maine before the Holiday season begins officially. Light up those trees, or lighthouses!
This Friday evening the tree at Monument Square will be lit, presented by Hood Eggnog.
Rick Charette & The Bubble Gum Band will be jamming the tunes, there will be free Hood Eggnog to sip and free horse and wagon rides from 4 to 8pm, and, of course, Santa Claus will be there to watch the "Make A Wish" kid light the tree at 6:30.
Then on Saturday the annual lighting of Nubble Light lighthouse in York takes place.
Sip on some hot cocoa listen to carols being sung maybe even tell Santa what's on your wish list. Don't worry about parking, there will be plenty of it at York High School as well as the Short Sands Parking Lot with complimentary shuttle rides beginning at 3:30pm.
