Here Are Some Great Maine Beaches To Visit This Summer

Mainetoday.com had a list of great beach "walks" and that got me to thinking about summer, sun and beaches to visit.

Here are three of the beaches they say you should visit.

Harbor Beach, York.

Pine Point Beach, Scarborough

and Fortune's Rocks Beach in Biddeford

That got me to thinking about some other beaches I've visited. Remember, a beach can be fresh water, too!

Try Sebago Lake State Park for waves and sun!

Away from Sebago, you can try the always interesting Popham Beach! Lots to see and do. While you're in the area, be sure to visit Fort Popham.

Don't forget Reid State Park for sheer beauty. Be sure to visit the tidal lagoon behind the marshes. Be diligent when you're there, nesting birds are in the area.

And as always, Old Orchard Beach and Ogunquit Beach shouldn't be left out, and Mainetoday.com highlighted them as places to visit this summer in their list.
