Help the Portland Sea Dogs Sell Out Hadlock Field to Beat Cancer
So, with the Portland Sea Dogs celebrating their undefeated 2020 season (they obviously can't play a game due to COVID-19), they're using their empty stadium for a good cause.
They are selling tickets for $10 each to raise money to benefit cancer Research, according to WMTW.
The goal is to sell over 7,300 tickets, which is pretty much the capacity of Hadlock field altogether.
"Unfortunately, we were not able to sell out any games this season at Hadlock Field," stated Sea Dogs President and General Manager Geoff Lacuessa to Channel 8. "We have the best fans in baseball, and we know that they will help us achieve the most meaningful sell out of them all, the one that helps children and their families in Maine battling cancer."
The Sea Dogs raising money for cancer is not a new cause normally considering they partner with strikeout cancer for kids, which they've done for the past 25 years to help raise money for root Cancer Research.
