Hate Speech In Maine? Freeport Residents Find KKK Flyers In Driveways
Our friends at WMTW are reporting that residents of the Maine town of Freeport awoke this morning to an unwelcome sight: KKK flyers in their driveways.
According to Police, several families who live on South Freeport Road said they found Ku Klux Klan fliers waiting for them in their driveways on Monday morning.
Police said residents told them the fliers were advertising a "neighborhood watch," and were very disturbing.
According to WMTW, the fliers also included a "1-800 Klanline" that people could call for more information.
Police said they believe the fliers were randomly distributed and no one was targeted, but if anyone feels unsafe, to dial 911 and contact police.
