We are so close to this 3 day Fourth of July weekend we can almost taste it and it tastes like Hot Dogs and Freedom, but mostly hot dogs! If you are about to launch into a "Do you even know what is in a hot dog" speech, spare me. Of course I don't and I would like to keep it that way! Who needs that kind of negativity?

Now, let me ask you a serious question. Have you ever heard of a lobster dog? Of course we all know what a lobster roll is and we know what a hot dog is, but what happens when the two meet in holy matrimony and bring a beautiful baby into this world that is half lobster roll, half hot dog?! (Insert mind blown emoji)

According to Scott Corriveau, a fellow member of the Friends of Hampton Beach NH Facebook group, Pat's World Famous hot dog stand on Hampton Beach is where you can try their legendary Lobster Dog. It says so right on the sign! Pat's is nestled in the middle of the action on D street across from the casino parking lot. And according to Scott, the Lobster Dog is a must try!

So of course the question that begs to be asked:

What on god's green earth is a lobster dog?

Is it a regular hot dog with lobster meat on top? OR is it lobster meat inside a casing? Kind of like a lobster that is dressed like a hot dog for Halloween?  According to Scott, it is the latter. Allegedly it is lobster meat inside a casing, served on a hot dog roll and topped with cheese. YUP, CHEESE. On lobster! Everyone in the comments says don't knock it 'til you try it and this girl will DEFINITELY be trying it.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
