‘Give A Cop The Bird’ Fundraiser A Success In Westbrook

A fundraiser with a catchy name did well in Westbrook, Maine on Saturday, according to our news partner WMTW. It was the second annual holiday food drive hosted by the Westbrook Police Department at Shaw's Supermarket.

"Give A Cop The Bird" was a chance to donate Thanksgiving turkeys and other foods to families in need, and an opportunity for police officers to get to know the community they serve better, as per WMTW.

The fundraiser reportedly helped nearly 60 families, last year. This year, they were hoping to help many more families.
