Dover Announces Parking Ban As Snow Approaches New Hampshire
The City of Dover announced Tuesday that it was instituting a city-wide parking ban with snow anticipated to hit the Seacoast overnight and into Wednesday.
In a press release and public alert distribution, the city said its parking ban would go into effect Tuesday night at 10 p.m. and not be lifted until Wednesday at 6 a.m. There is an exception for downtown, the release said, which will have a ban in effect on Wednesday from 1-6 a.m. only.

Here's what the city said about the parking ban and its logistics, via the release:
While in effect, no parking is permitted on city streets, sidewalks or adjacent public parking areas. While the ban is in effect, parking is also prohibited in the Third Street, First Street and Belknap parking lots, as well as the public parking spaces in the Orchard Street lot. Vehicles in the Fourth Street lot must be parked in the outside spaces only. Parking in the Library lot will be limited to the outermost row facing the Greek Orthodox Church and the outermost row facing Atkinson Street. No parking will be permitted at any other location in the Library lot. Vehicles in violation of the parking ban and related restrictions may be fined and towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
Additionally, the parking ban will allow Dover Community Services to apply snow removal tactics as well as treat roads with salt and sand in an effort to keep areas open for safe travel.
