Move over cupcakes… dot cakes are where it's at in Maine.

Just when I thought the internet had officially run out of desserts to obsess over, along comes the dot cake and honestly? I've never personally craved dot sprinkles, because they’re not as easy to bite into as the regular sprinkles, but I think it’s trending because of the look? 

If you haven’t seen one yet, you’ll have a beautifully layered mini cake topped with a blanket of colorful little sprinkles (the coveted “dots”).

This viral treat has officially landed in Maine, and Clayton’s Café & Bakery at 447 Route 1 in Yarmouth is serving up its own scratch-made version.

It’s fluffy, creamy, colorful, and dangerously easy to convince yourself that it’s a “personal-sized cake,” which is exactly the kind of math which I do support.
