Didn’t Get To See The Northern Lights In Maine? Here’s What You Missed…
If you didn't get to see the aurora borealis, otherwise known as the northern lights, watch this video of the natural phenomenon in the mountains of Maine.
"Kevin207 Photography" posted it on YouTube on Sunday. The video supposedly shows the northern night sky in Eustis from this past weekend.
Northern lights are "collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere," according to the New England Outdoor Center. The different colors of the northern lights depends on "the type of gas particles that are colliding."
There are several states where we can get a good look at the northern lights, including Maine. Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge (located on the U.S.-Canadian border) is one of the best places to experience the northern lights in Maine, according to "Visit The USA."
