Did You Know ‘Maine’ is Also The Name of a Place in Maine?

So here's something we've never heard of...

A town in Maine called Maine?

Well, it's not exactly a town. The US Geographic Names Information System says that Maine, Maine (kinda like New York, New York but with less people) is a "populated place" in the city of Caribou.

Wikipedia calls Maine, Maine a "village" within Caribou.

Has anyone ever heard of this place? We never knew it existed!

Caribou only has a population of 7,736 in 2016... how many of those people live in Maine?
