Delectable Mac and Cheese Donuts in Boston Sell Out Daily

Hmmmm.  I love donuts and macaroni and cheese. I mean, who doesn't?  My guess is it's a pretty small percentage considering both are two of the greatest, most popular yumminess on the planet.  But creating one culinary delight with scrumptious mac and cheese and a homemade donut?  Like I said, hmmmm.

If you're up for finding out if this combo works, then plug in the hip and hot Assembly Row section of Somerville, and you just may get a chance to grab one if they're not already sold out for that day.  This leads me to believe this combo is a winner.

Civility Social House is the name of the restaurant that Boston Chefs says is the latest creative hot spot behind the minds of the city's most popular dining establishments.  And guess what?  The restaurant says it has religiously sold out of its signature mac and cheese donuts every day since the restaurant opened on January 31, 2023.

Chef Chris Damian told WBZ NewsRadio that he's living a dream with this new concept, and I can't blame him.  A colleague literally just messaged me asking when we can take that extra-long lunch and go try these mac and cheese donuts for ourselves.

I always wanted to build a place where I could go and enjoy different types of food in a place you wouldn't hesitate to come three, four times a week and this is actually the fruition of that.

Okay, let's get straight to it on how these are made.

Chef Damian told WBZ NewsRadio that he first forms and hand-cuts these mac and cheese-filled donuts, then breads them with panko and fries them up that delicious golden brown so they have a crispy texture.  After that, he says he sprinkles a bit of salt over each donut before pouring his own creamy cheese sauce with bacon and scallions over the masterpiece. The cheesy concoction is then put in a skillet with chipotle barbecue sauce.
