Perhaps you're of the age to remember shows on Nickelodeon like Legends of the Hidden Temple and GUTS. Those shows often had fun-looking obstacles that inspired a little competitiveness in every child and even some adults. But where can you find a giant rock (iceberg) that you have to scale up only to then bounce off of into a cool, calming lake? Well, look no further than New Hampshire.

Shared on Facebook by Purity Spring Resort, the iceberg is no secret to locals and repeat visitors to the resort. It's been an ongoing attraction for years. But it does seem like an undiscovered treasure for most of the rest of us. Pictures don't fully capture the size of the iceberg, so check out the video below to understand just what you might be getting yourself into.

Part of the challenge in climbing the iceberg comes from the fact that it never stops moving. Even in calm lake waters, any nudge from someone climbing the inflatable monster will up the difficulty of the climb. Your reward when you reach the top is a chance to bounce-house you way into the lake and cool off.

Purity Spring Resort is located at 153 Eaton Road in East Madison, New Hampshire. Beyond the iceberg, the resort boasts beaches, hiking trails, water sports options as well as being located adjacent to the New Hampshire Audubon Society. Check their website for rates and availability this summer.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
