Lewiston, Maine’s Next Big Voice is Only 12 Years Old
So, a few months ago, I’m scrolling through Instagram in the The Chamber of Secrets aka the bathroom.. when I hear this voice. I stop and my entire body short circuits for a moment.
It's an Instagram reel of this 12 year old kid from Lewiston, Braden Doucette, and he’s out here singing like a male Whitney Houston.
No exaggeration. I got chills, which is not something that normally happens in the chamber of secrets.
Braden just put out his very first single, I Hate Blue, it’s honest, raw, deep, and emotional and he had me hanging on each and every word he sang. Mark me when I say, he is Maine’s next star.

Oh and did I mention, he’s already made it through a couple online auditions of The Voice? Yes, that Voice, on NBC. He was connected recently with a casting director who requested he submit four full-length songs.

He recently signed his casting release and will spend the next few months in a “get to know you” process with the show’s production team. I was lucky enough to interview Braden and found out so much about him. He draws vocal inspiration from artists like Billie Eillish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Benson Boone, Braden says he’s always been drawn to music that makes people feel something real.

“I’ve never really tried to fit into a mold. Music is how I show people who I am honest, emotional, and not afraid to stand out.” Braden Doucette
Braden might be a little shy when he talks, but the second he starts singing, it’s like he flips a switch and somehow reaches straight into your soul.
Let's all support Braden on this musical journey by watching and sharing his videos on BradenDoucetteMusic via Instagram.
