Massachusetts’ Mark Wahlberg Finally Sells His Bonkers Home for $55 Million
Just wait until you see the photos of the Wahlberg family's palatial estate in the most famous zip code in America, 90210. 71 Beverly Park in Beverly Hills, California, is a 30,500 square-foot home listed by Carl Gambino with Compass. Its price started at nearly $90 million, then later dropped to $79.5 million. It's now finally settling at $55 million where, according to the Wall Street Journal, the property should close with the undisclosed buyers.
Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham first listed the property in April 2022, and they clearly made an insane profit since they purchased it in 2009 for a measly $8.25 million, according to TMZ.
Mark removed the home from the market for a bit after it didn't sell at its nearly $90 million price tag. Now that he and his family have officially moved to the Las Vegas, Nevada, area, the property looks like it's sold, pending final steps.
It really is a breathtakingly stunning home as you'll see in the gallery below, photographed by Anthony Barcelo of Barcelo Photography.
Although Mark and his family love this compound that, according to the listing, has 12 bedrooms and 20 baths, a guest cottage, a full basketball court, a multi-level grotto-style pool, a 5-hole golf course, spa, tennis court, a home theatre, staff quarters, fitness center, and a 5,000 bottle wine cellar and tasting room, it's no longer where they want to raise their family. The place also has waterfalls connected to the pool, and a gorgeous library.
Mark and his family left this six-acre property in order to support the aspirations of his four children, according to the Nicki Swift entertainment website.
The listing says this palatial palace is built with the finest quality of materials and craftsmanship, with lushly landscaped grounds and huge lawns set among hills with total privacy. Sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy one of the great luxury estates in Los Angeles, but clearly, deep pockets are essential.
