Blood Moon rising tonight for a total lunar eclipse.  USM's Southworth Planetarium is calling this a gold event!!! Night birds this is your night to observe the marvels of the universe.

From the Southworth Planetarium website: "The eclipse actually begins at 11:53 p.m. on Monday, April 14th.  However, at this moment, Moon touches Earth's outer shadow, the penumbra.  The resultant shading is so slight as to be unnoticeable."   Astronomer and Southworth Planetarium, Edward Gleason will be joining us to give us a post eclipse rundown around 7:40 a.m. on Today's 94.9 HOM. We'll also look at the other galactic events coming up in 2014.
