Black Bear Struck By Car In This Maine Town
A car struck a bear on Saturday night in Bethel, Maine, according to WGME. The report indicates the accident happened around 10 p.m. on Mayville Road, also known as Route 2.
The wild bear ran away after being hit, so the extent of its injuries are unknown. The Oxford County Sheriff's Office says the teens who were in the car were not injured, and the car only had minor damages. WGME reports the kids were on their way home from a high school Prom, when they hit the bear.
