Best-Kept Seacoast Secret is Dancing at the Fox Run Mall in New Hampshire
Are you ready to dance like no one's watching? Let's have some fun with the best-kept secret on the Seacoast in Newington, New Hampshire.
Jazz, Line Dancing, Motown, Latin, Swing, Cha-Cha, Waltz, Salsa, Ballroom, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Fit over 50 are all part of the lineup at Fox Run Dance Hall.
Whether you just want to have fun and learn some new moves, or you have a serious dance streak, Fox Run Dance is ready to boogie, kick up its heels, or pop and lock with you anytime.
Owner Jim Collins, a ballroom dancer for 20 years, says he opened Fox Run Dance Hall as a way to reconnect with his friends in the dance world during our pandemic. To his surprise, it took on a life of its own.
You see, it started as a free, eight week line dance class outdoors in a parking lot behind the Rite Aid in Portsmouth in 2020. Then, in March of 2021, it turned into his current space in the Fox Run Mall in Newington as a budding community of dancing.
A big part of Jim's model is creating entrepreneurial opportunities. His instructors rent the space. Which, by the way, if you're a dancer ready to teach some moves, Jim says you can reach out to him any time at seacoastlinedance@gmail.com.
For class times and more, you can jump on his website, Fox Run Dance.
Are you ready to be a part of this grassroots dance community? We all dance in some form or another, even if it's just at weddings or in our car. And who among us hasn't attempted to slide across the floor like Tom Cruise or jump around like Kevin Bacon? And don't tell me you haven't tried some Beyonce moves.
