Okay are you ready to be spooked? I’ve got a little bit of creepy nostalgia for you.
The Bangor Historical Society is hosting this spooky outdoor screening of Stephen King’s legendary, “Christine” on August 20th at 8:00pm, according to Bangor Daily News.
And this isn’t happening just anywhere. We’re talkin’ the Mount Hope Cemetery at 700 Mount Hope Avenue in Bangor.
Yep, this freaky movie will be shown in a real life cemetery. A horror movie in a cemetery, you can’t get better than that.
Stephen King’s Killer Car “Christine” Is Coming to a Real Maine Cemetery
If your memories a bit foggy, Christine aired in 1983 and it’s a cult classic based on Stephen King’s novel about a possessed 1958 Plymouth Fury with a pretty deadly personality.
The car doesn’t just drive, it kills. Romantic.
Take a walk down memory lane and check out the 1983 trailer of Christine.
Stephen King lives in Maine after all so it’s only fitting that the movie is shown in this deadly spot.
And according to the article, rumor has it, he even borrowed names off of tombstones from Mount Hope for his characters in the movie "It". Plus, parts of "Pet Cemetery" were filmed there. Mr. King certainly spends a lot of time in cemeteries doesn’t he?
