While we were at dinner at the 99 Restraurant last night on Civic Center Drive in Augusta, it was brought to our attention that they were going to be holding a fundraiser for a coworker who recently passed away.

Tonight's (Tuesday 6-22) event is called 'Tips For Jess', and the team at 99 will be donating all the tips raised back to Jess's family. Jessica Stewart was a server and barteneder who died suddenly last week of an apparent heart attack at the young age of 43.

Jess left behind five children and five young grand children. The event page goes on to say that, Jess would do anything for anyone - she was an amazing woman, would always be a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. I personally will miss her more than words can express.

The fundraiser goes from 5-9 this evening and 100% of tips raised will go directly to Jess's children. The restaurant also has several raffle items up for grabs, too. You could score gift cards, golf passes and more!

If you would like to help but can't attend tonight's event, please message Amanda Fontaine on Facebook.
