Families, Kids May Soon Get to Enjoy Arcadia in Portland, Maine
If you are looking for a fun gaming experience on the weekends, Arcadia in Portland is a pretty cool spot.
They are open from 5 pm to 1 am on Friday and Saturdays, and from 5 pm to 12 am Sundays and Mondays.
Two of my favorite things to do are to drink and play video games, and Arcadia is the place to do both! You will probably see me hogging the Galaga machine or playing one of their many pinball machines.
Arcadia has local brews, cocktails, food, pinball, skeeball, and both video and board games, making it a perfect place to go after work or just to hang out, with or without friends.
The only thing that could be an obstacle is that Arcadia is only open for 21+. Well, the good news is that they are planning on opening back up their family-friendly day!
That's right, according to a comment on their Instagram page,Arcadia is hoping to bring back their all-age policy on the first Sunday of every month from noon to 5 pm,
They state that they are planning on bringing this experience back in April. The not-so-good news is that there is no definite date yet.
However, it does look like they will be bringing it back this year and hopefully in time for summer vacation. Family skeeball competition anyone?
Arcadia used to be called Arcadia National Bar, but it closed down during the pandemic.
If you are planning on going to Arcadia with family or friends, it will not be at the same location that you may have gone to in the past. Arcadia relocated from 24 Preble Street to a bigger location at the former Port City Music Hall at 504 Congress Street.
