Congratulations to David's Restaurant in downtown Portland, Maine. David's is the 2018 Spirit Quest judges choice selection from 14 eateries that participated in the annual Maine Restaurant Week event which takes place during the first week of March. Chef David Turin served a chicken andouille sausage slider on a buttermilk jalapeno biscuit with apricot butter. It was paired with a spiced coconut punch, made by bartender Lindsey Petersen.

My personal favorites were Union in the Inkwell, Press Hotel and Petite Jacqueline. Both restaurants served a duck dish with amazing cocktails. More important than the food at both places is the way they treated their customers with respect and top notch service. I give both places an A+.
