A Great Hike A Terrific Mountain View Just 20 Minutes From Portland

I love living in Portland. The city vibe has really grown on me. But being originally from New Hampshire, I sometimes miss being in the woods and mountains. Luckily, that nature feel is relatively close by. If you want to get away from the city for a minute and become one with nature, a great hike and breathtaking mountain view at Bradbury Mountain awaits you, just 20 minutes from Portland.

For my birthday this weekend, I wanted to go, because it's one of my favorite places. So that's where we ended up, and I'm so glad we did.

There are several different trails to the summit. The one that we usually take is a one mile hike from the parking lot. Not too bad!

I love the hike, and so do my daughters, and my dog. And the view from the summit is truly rewarding. A great way to spend the last day of summer!
