Thanks to the kind-hearted person.

Someone or several someones decided to decorate the lawn of the public safety building in Yarmouth recently with heart signs.

Yarmouth, Maine Police Department put a heartfelt thank you on their Facebook page,

It's a nice sight for the people who work here to come in and see the display of kindness and appreciation from those who we serve. Our jobs can feel thankless at times, and acts like this go a long way towards overcoming those feelings and improving morale. Thank you, again, to kind hearted person who took time out of their day to do this.

This is so nice! No one knows who did this either. Slightly surprising that someone was able to put all these heart signs in front of the Yarmouth Fire and Rescue and no one noticed, but that's not the point of this story. It's really nice. For what can often be a thankless job, it's nice to let them know with a small gesture that it matters and we notice and appreciate you men and women.

This comes on the heels of the terrible news that the Portland Valentine's Day bandit passed away. Maybe Kevin Fahrman (the revealed Valentine's Day bandit) inspired this hearting. I adore this gesture. You do not have to look far to get the worst of humanity. The least I could do is share this bit of goodness. Thanks, Yarmouth Rainy Day bandit, because even those of us who don't put out fires appreciate it!
