What Do You Wish They Taught Us In School?
Many "real life" skills are never mentioned in the classroom. But why?
Today on the HOM Morning Show, Nikki and I asked listeners the question - "What do you wish they taught us in school?"
One of the first things that came to mind for me was changing the oil in my car. I still don't know how to do that! I feel like it would have come in more handy to learn that in school...as opposed to, say...algebra!
We got some great calls on this one. Here are a few -
"How to change a tire"
"Cursive writing"
"How to write a check"
"How to write an address"
"Self defense"
"Personal finance"
"How to deal with bullying"
"How big of a responsibility it is to raise children"
"I wish I learned how important retirement was when I was younger. What to do, and what to avoid."
"Things we should have learned in school... typing!! Especially they/we are in the age of computers."
And here's what listeners said on our Facebook page -
What are some of the things that YOU wish they had taught us in school?
