Pride's Corner Drive-in in Westbrook, Maine has a double-feature this weekend that runs Wednesday through Sunday that may just be the most clever pairing of movies ever conceived of.

First off, is the film that you couldn't miss advertisements for if you tried. Ads were run ad nauseam for Barbie on every platform you can imagine. Broadcast TV, streaming services, YouTube pre-rolls, and even on Roku's screen saver. Barbie With the amount of money they put into advertising, they were banking on Barbie being a hit.

If you had told me 10 years ago that they were going to make a live-action movie out of Barbie, I would have laughed in your face and said, "Oh sure, what's next in live-action? The Little Mermaid? Oops.

Barbie is the first of two features this weekend at Pride's Corner. The second couldn't be more opposite of Barbie if you tried and it's about another woman who is not a doll, but her movie goes by one name as well.

Is that not brilliant?

In case you aren't familiar with Tammy, it's a 2014 film that stars Melissa McCarthy as Tammy, a woman named who according to Wikipedia's listing for the movie, "hits the road with her profane, alcoholic grandmother (played but Susan Sarandon) after finding out her husband is cheating."

Barbie and Tammy double feature. The only way top it would be to add a third feature. Thelma and Louise.

That idea is completely yours to use Pride's Corner Drive-In. Let's make it happen.
