Watch Slugger The Sea Dog’s Own Version of ‘The Lion King’

The Portland Sea Dogs season may have come to and end, but seeing Slugger's between innings performances are just one reason we can't wait for next season at Hadlock Field.

Slugger's videos have gained national attention. His video from the 2018 season where he re-enacts a scene from Dirty Dancing with a grounds crew member has over 500,000 views on his Facebook page alone, not to mention coverage on ESPN.

In 2019 Slugger entertained crowds again with re-enactments of classic movies. With the live action The Lion King in theaters, Slugger decided to do his own live action version, complete with a little Slugger as a stand in for Simba. It played out perfectly, especially when the music switches to Elton John's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" and Slugger hugs the home plate umpire.

We can't wait to see what Slugger has in store for the fans next season. It's only 7 months away!
