Was This Behavior at Fenway Park Disgusting or Legendary?
Fenway Park was turned into a water park on Friday, July 21, 2023, which led to some WILD behavior that has people divided: was this behavior grotesque or epic?
The scene was set as the Boston Red Sox were facing the New York Mets on a rainy Boston evening.
The rain started as normal before becoming an absolute monsoon, causing the umpires to call the tarp out at 8:20 p.m.
"About 90 minutes later, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the Boston area until 12:45 a.m," according to a Daily Mail article. "The rain had let up briefly but picked up with force again about 1 hour, 40 minutes into the delay."
And that heavy rain brought massive flooding to America's oldest active ballpark.
Look at the stairs, which had a legitimate waterfall going down them.
And this is where the decisions become questionable.
Some Red Sox fans began using the flood as an opportunity to create a "natural" slip-and-slide.
The funniest part of this questionable slip-and-slide is the comments from everyone on the internet. Please enjoy these hilarious comments from the original Barstool Sports post, all kept anonymous:
"Boston pee party"
"It's like an instructional video on how to get a disease"
"Lord have MRSA"
"3 years ago " everyone wear a mask or we'll all die ". Now " let me slide across a polio pool in my shorts and inhale hepatitis ""
"When you think you’re about to do something really cool, and then nobody cares and you’re just a mess now."
"There you go. Get a mouth full of that. Swish it around."
Gotta love the people on the Internet!
