A WARNING: Gritty the Mascot Is Coming to the Mariners Game on Monday
Straight up. He's the dumbest, most stupid mascot in the history of sports teams mascots. And guess what? I dig him. No, I LOVE him. He (it) is the BEST.
The KING of all mascots. It's Gritty.
And you can meet this amazing phenom on Monday, November 11, in Portland at the Maine Mariners game!
I have not been more excited to see someone at the Cross Insurance Arena since the KISS/Aerosmith twin bill back in November of 2003.
Get a taste of what my man Gritty is all about:
From our buds at the Maine Mariners:
"From 5-6 PM, Gritty will conduct a meet and greet in the C.N. Brown Landing with fans who purchased a “Gritty package,” only 100 of which are available. Fans who purchased a Gritty package will also get a professional photo with the mascot. Beginning around 6:30 PM, Gritty will mingle with fans in the concourse, mainly at the photo booth in the promotions port."
The Maine Mariners also state that Gritty will take the ice to drop the ceremonial puck, help with the "lucky row” and “seat upgrade” promotions, assist with T-shirt toss and roam the stands greeting fans, and so much more.
The NHL Players Association voted Gritty as the league’s best mascot in March of 2019.
The Maine Mariners stated that "Gritty has a massive following on social media, with more than 220,000 followers on Instagram and over 270,000 on Twitter. He’s appeared in many viral photos and videos since bursting onto the scene."
There are limited Gritty packages still available HERE, where fans can also purchase individual game tickets.
Doors open at 5:45 PM for season ticket holders and 6:00 PM for the general public, and the puck drops at 7 PM!
