UPDATE: NH Teacher Who Cut Student’s Hair Resigns

There's been an update on a story we were following last week - NH School Teacher Punishes Student By Cutting Her Hair. Many people were shocked and saddened to hear that this happened in a New Hampshire public school. Now, many people will be relieved to hear that the teacher has resigned. According to fosters.com, it was announced by district superintendent last week that the teacher, who was never named by the school, has tendered his resignation.

Many times when you hear about someone "resigning" from a position, it can also mean they were asked to resign. That could be the case here, but we'll probably never know either way. As a far as I'm concerned, the important thing here is that the teacher no longer works at the school, which will certainly help the student move on from this traumatic incident.
