UM Men Playoffs Begin Tonight

The UMaine mens basketball team's March Madness begins tonight in Albany, New York. The #8 Black Bears take on the #1 Great Danes in the America East quarterfinal.

Coach Bob Walsh and his Bears enter postseason at 3-26 (2-14 AE).

Coach Will Brown and his Great Danes are 21-8 (15-1 AE). Brown was named conference coach of the year earlier in the week.

America East has moved to a new format of having the higher seed host playoff games.
