The beautiful seaside town of Kennebunkport, Maine, is once again receiving national recognition. The popular lifestyle website 365traveler.com, named Kennebunkport as Maine's absolute best Christmas town. The York County town was one of 50 communities across the country, with one representing every state.

Even if not going to Christmas Prelude, the beautiful town is an absolute must-visit during the holiday season. The area truly gets into the holiday spirit the perfect way. However, it never loses its coastal Maine focus. Plus, there's some great coastal Maine shopping.

Kennebunkport was joined by five other New England towns on the list of 50, each representing a respective state.

Portsmouth got the nod for New Hampshire. It's a great little coastal city that tends to feel like a cozier Portland.

One of my favorite towns in the world represents Rhode Island. Of course, I'm talking about Newport. Its elegance and sailing history are second to none.

Massachusetts is represented by Stockbridge, with Mystic covering Connecticut, and Woodstock getting the vote for Vermont.
