Can you guess which three New England states made this impressive list published by CNBC? The news and business site's researchers measured the quality of life in each of the 50 states.

If you guessed Maine, you're wrong. Vacationland did not make the CNBC's 2018 list of the "Best Places To Live In America." However, Massachusetts did. The Bay State barely made the cut at number ten. It is America's healthiest state, according to CNBC.

Meanwhile, New Hampshire tied for number five with Washington. CNBC says NH has the third-lowest violent-crime rate in the nation. The Granite State ranked sixth in last year's report, as per WMUR.

Vermont takes the honors in 2018. It's the number one state to live in the U.S.A. The Green Mountain State has the second-lowest violent-crime rate in America, along with "a pristine environment and strong antidiscrimination laws," according to CNBC's report.
