I don't work in a formal office setting. When I know I am going to meet with a client or my boss, I make sure I dress with a certain level of professionalism. However, on a normal day when I wake up at 3:30 am I wear whatever my little heart desires. I'm lucky if I stroll in with my clothes right side in if we're being honest.

This is why I don't know if I could survive in the town of Greenwich, Connecticut. It was recently in the news that the town is banning flip flops in the workplace. Of course, jobs like a lifeguard and camp counselor are excluded from this. The reason behind the ban was not because someone with stinky hooves was creating an unpleasant work environment. According to WTNH, they are trying to "create safer conditions and avoid accidents that can result in injuries, absences and workers' compensation claims.”

Do you support flip flops in the workplace? What professions do you consider to be flip flop friendly, if any?
