It was a sad weekend, as the country learned of the passing of President George H.W. Bush, at the age of 94. Bush had an affinity for unique socks, often seen sporting them while spending his summers in Kennebunkport, Maine. So the socks the former president will be buried in seem to be most appropriate. Bush's post-White House spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted this photo and description:

Combining his love of socks with his service to his country, he will be wearing these as he is laid to rest. I think this is great. I'm sure he would be very proud to know that he will be wearing these socks for eternity.
