The last time I posted this picture, I was publicly shamed by a few people who thought it was too risqué, which is why I am hesitant to post it again.

It's a picture from almost 20 years ago, when I was working for a radio station in San Antonio, Texas. I was approached by a photographer who was putting together a calendar featuring "radio girls." One of the most famous female radio personalities in the U.S., Ellen K, had already signed on. I was very excited to represent my station and my "hometown." Even though I wasn't born there, San Antonio is where my father settled my family, after he retired from the military.

Anyway, back to the calendar... It was done very tastefully and professionally. I was "Miss May" and had two minutes of fame as a pin-up girl. It didn't open any doors for me. It's just something I did in my 20s, and I don't regret it. I can reflect on this experience with a sense of pride, especially now that I'm older. I obviously don't look like calendar material anymore, so I can look back at this picture and say "WOW! That's me!"
