The First Do-It-Yourself Ordering Kiosks Have Arrived At McDonald’s In Maine
Placing your order just got even easier at a newly renovated McDonald's in Maine. The Gorham Road McDonald's in South Portland across from the Maine Mall had their grand reopening this week, after a new remodeling and modernization.
Part of that upgrade includes Maine's first self-serve ordering kiosks. The kiosks will let you place your order on a touch screen, even allowing you to customize it. Don't want pickles? You're covered. Want extra ketchup? Done. After you've made your selections, you take a plastic number and go to your table. When your order is ready, it's brought right to you. The numbers even come equipped with Bluetooth chips so they can find you easily.
McDonald's plans to roll out the kiosks at stores across the country, so the service may be coming soon to a McDonald's near you.
