On vacation last week and had not one but two Bald Eagle encounters.

Honey and I went camping last weekend up at Sebago Lake State Park in Casco. We've been going to the sandbar for years. We actually got engaged there 2 years ago. (no date yet but we are accepting donations)  But this was the first time we stayed overnight.

Woke up about 6am on Saturday.  Everybody was sleeping so I decided to go for a walk along the beach.  As I was walking, I saw this bald eagle and really didn't think much of it.  Though it was beautiful in person, my cell phone camera doesn't do it justice.

As I made my way down the beach, towards the sandbar, I noticed what looked to be a gray eagle, which I found out later is a baby.

Then saw the bald eagle with what looked to be a snake in its claws/talons.  It actually dropped the snake as I started it.  Pretty sure it was teaching the little babe how to hunt.  Where's the camera crew for North Woods Law when you need 'em?

The next morning, I went out for a walk about the very same time, not thinking about anything really...all of the sudden, I see another or probably the same bald eagle teaching its young to hunt.  This time it had a fish.  I wish the picture was better, you'll have to trust me on this one.

This was so much better with the naked eye. Wished you were all there to see these beautiful birds!!!
