‘Taps’ Played at Walker’s Point to Mourn the Passing of President George H. W. Bush
In a moving tribute to the late president today, Donald Lauzier of Saco played Taps at Walker's Point, the beloved summer home of the 41st president and his family.
Taps, also called "Day is Done," is the ceremonial bugle or trumpet call used by the US Military at dusk each evening to lower the US flag, and at military funerals.
WMTW posted the emotional video this afternoon, just after the conclusion of the president's state funeral in Washington, D.C.
Bush's son, former president George W. Bush, gave a moving eulogy at the funeral.
