Yesterday at the Mariners, fans were urged to buy a new package of underwear and bring it to the game. When the first goal by the Mariners was scored, everyone tossed their package of underwear down on the ice. Fun, right? And it was all for a great cause, as all the underwear was scooped up and donated to Preble Street.
We really miss the Maine Mariners this season. But Mariners Head Coach & Assistant General Manager Riley Armstrong and Equipment Manager Jake Rogers are still around and putting their talents to use to help Maine restaurants get through the pandemic.
The Maine Mariners shut down their season in March. Today, the ECHL Board of Governors, approved a schedule for the 2020-2021 season with an anticipated start date of December 4, 2020. Teams will play a full 72-game schedule.
