Summer on Cape Cod [Photos]

It was a week of sunshine, sand and warm water.  A pretty good week for a vacation on Cape Cod.

I've been going to Truro on Cape Cod since I was a newborn. My family has been on the Cape since the 1600's, so I get free room and board.  I do have to make a blueberry pie every once in a while to earn my keep.

Cape Cod is a fantastic place to bring a kayak. I drop my little boat in the marsh and paddle out to Pamet Harbor that leads to Cape Cod Bay.

Early morning is the best time to see some of the sights.  We spent an early morning in Provincetown before the streets are crowded with bikes and cars.

Provincetown has beautiful pocket gardens squeezed into the nooks and crannies of Commercial Street.

Wellfleet borders the other side of Truro.  It's an adorable picturesque town with a town dock where you get a fish fry and ice cream at Mac's.

Sunsets on Cape Cod are some of the best that you'll see any where.
